Jesse Billauer to Speak at Fullerton College on Sept. 14 - Extra Credit
by Sean Chamberlin - Wednesday, 6 September 2006, 08:15 PM

Fomer Professional Surfer Jesse Billauer will speak on "Overcoming Adversity" from Noon to 130pm (a 1-hr talk followed by Q&A) in the Campus Theatre on Thursday, September 14, 2006, at Fullerton College.

Jesse, a professional surfer, suffered a spinal cord injury while surfing at the age of 17, an accident that left him paralyzed from the waist down. You might have seen him with Rob Machado in the movie, "Step Into Liquid."

His story is an inspiration and a reminder of how precious every day of life is, no matter what the hardship.

Ten points extra credit will be awarded to all students who attend and write a report on how Jesse's words personally inspire or motivate them.

Check out his web site at http://www.jessebillauer.com

  Hi
I would love to hear Jesse's inspirational story, but I live too far from the college.  Any  other way I can get the points?
